Is the A2 style "flash hider" with the bottom holes filled-in, a flash hider/suppressor or a muzzle brake in the eyes of the NZ Police?
Just want to know if I need to take a spanner to it.

Is the muzzle break open like the one in the picture or is it closed with only the small hole for the bullet? There is 2 versions of that break one flash hider and one break.
The one you have posted in the picture is a flash hider. However
If the end is enclosed, it forces the gas out through the break holes making it a muzzle break.
I'll find some pictures if you need them.
