Yep can do all though if the screw rips out of a tight fitting ball before you get it out you are really stuffed then lol
What I normally do if i dryball (ram a ball forgetting to put powder down 1st) sounds silly but happens more than you think

I take nipple out put as much powder as I can in through the bolster tapping the rifle as I go to get it all in there
Put the nipple back in and fire the rifle normally the ball wont pop out but it will shift up the barrel a bit giveing room for more power to be put in through the bolster then you get 15od gn of powder in there which is plenty
To blow the ball out just remember to ram the ball again sounds counterproductive I know
But you can’t have air gaps
Fire the rifle again and the ball will pop right out

If you have power in the rifle and it won’t go off to the same thing for a start normally the extra flash will get her to go unless it’s really wet or oily
Then its gas discharger or self taping screw on the ram rod time
