The 240 Gibbs used a 270 case from memory, could be wrong, was many moons ago

There’s nothing new under the sun that’s for sure

Sound like a great idea, I built a long 40 degree improved one in April 2013

The old 30 grain Berger went pretty quick

Not as interesting as you might think regarding terminal performance though

I put my 6mm CM barrel back in an action the other day and checked its zero tonight. I reckon the small CMs are bloody hard to beat and outshine their big brother by a large margin. My 6mm is very easy to shoot very well, despite what I've learnt over the last year or so about statistically valid groups there is simply no need to shoot anymore than 3 shot groups to get it zeroed, and the 103s at 3040fps make hunting easy.

22/08 would be near on identical to the 22/243 .....so definitely reinventing the wheel lol

The Creedmoor is “as well”, not “instead”.

or you could call it a 22 CHeetah... done already! Though I'm fireforming some 243 brass ('cause its already mostly necked down). So does that make it more a 22-243 AI?
