    Seating depth doesn't play a big part in velocity. If you create extra case space by long throating, then generally you have to add more powder to equal the pressure of the standard throat load, thus no extra gain in velocity, just more powder burnt.

    True, I just ran same load in QL at 2.820 COL and 2.990 COL - it made a difference. @dale what load are you using?
