One thing that was an option was the barrel channel. All his stocks have quite a wide barrel channel, so depending on the profile of the barrel you use, you can end up with a wider than 'normal' gap. He now has the ability to fill the barrel channel to suit you barrel - I got him to do that, and you end up with a nice even gap the length of the barrel channel. Was only a $50 option, just a bit more logistics getting the smith to send it back to Ken to do it, then back to the smith to finish it all off, but well worth it in the long run i think.

Yeah, I used one of his stocks for my build last year and it does get a bit slippery when wet, I think adding the stippling is a good move.
Re the barrel channel, it fits my Proof Carbon perfect...really like his stocks
