    mate......for sub 150 yard shooting a big fat round nose with loads of exposed lead will see you on the money...as I said before try a box of 180 grn winchester factory stuff for your bush stalking and if you think you will be stretching legs/barrel find another load for open country/longer shots. dont over think it.with a bit of luck the 180s sighted in smack on at a hundy will see a lighter/faster load a couple of inches high...job done. if you have itch/urge for a light hollow point load (goats/fallow??) get belmont in wanganui to load you up a batch of speer 130grn hpfb loads,,,they are nicknamed handgrenades and are a favourite of lads from a chopper for head/neck shots as they are VERY explosive at .308 velocities.
