    You can use a robotic total station using a laser on non-reflective targets but where talking some serious coin. I’m sure Leica will make then but unless you’re a surveyor by trade it’s not worth the investment.

    No simple tool as far as I’m aware. Put tracking collars on your crew and monitor them that way lol

    That is a direction some guys are going, they found that some breaker outs are walking up 10km per day, and thats not down the foot path, shes all up and down through the shit. kinda highlights the fatigue issue.

    Vectronix make a bino that will do everything you need plus a bit more out to some ridiculous ranges. There are a few floating around NZ for sale. Not the cheapest things going in the world but cheap compared to a saved life. If you can't find any locally then you can import them easyish despite what some people think.

    They are big and ugly as all fuck but do a very good job.

    Why not put a MOA scope in the hauler ,crosshair on the haul,hashmark on the boys,thats far enough
