Had seen the YT vids ages ago.
And never thought about them again...

Nice, but I dread the price.

I'm no troll, but I don't see the point...apart from "cool factor"
With a 22" barrel on the original Omen, yeah all good but 15.5" is ridiculous...better off with an AR10.
Check this article out: 300 Winchester Magnum: How Does Barrel Length Change Velocity- A 16″ 300 Win Mag? | Rifleshooter.com
To quote the above article "The 17-inch 300 is similar to a 30-06. Keep in mind, the 308 or 30-06 would be far more pleasant to shoot, use cheaper brass, less powder and have a shorter powder column and are theoretically more accurate since they do not headspace off of a rim."
A 15.5" 300WM is just a loud and expensive to feed 308...
15.5 is crazy, I assume they will also be able to do them with a proper barrel.
There is at least one in the country, and has been for some time

I can't help thinking that a Browning Long track in 300 WinMag is a cheaper option, just minus the big mag.
Welcome to Sako club.
that could be a logical option, IF it was as accurate as a ar platform normally is.
Im not saying there not, its more a question as I have no knowledge about them

A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
Only knowledge of BARs I have is @Philipo firing brass from his .308 Short Trac over me in 2009.

Wank factor alone makes it worth it.
Hate to carry the beast! As much as I love ARs i reckon it'd be no carbine for pointing Lol!:-)
I guess for American (and European for that matter) blind/hide style hunting, often shooting down forest fire breaks for large boar/pigs, moose and black bears, especially at range its a better fit.
NZ style hunting not so much.
