So along with Federal trying to maximise on the go fast theory with their .224 Valkyrie. Hornady now just into the 6.5 game with this lovely little Devi

It's basically a 6.5 Saum but has slightly less case capacity. Cool that you can get factory ammo for those that don't reload. But if you do reload and want to get best velocity with the heavier pills the 6.5 Saum is the way to go.

If it does pick up popularity I'd be keen to see how it goes. In terms of a barrel burning 6.5 for maximum velocity the 6.5-300 WBY seems to be king of the factory chambering 6.5's.

Going off the success of the Creedmor I think this may attract people like myself who are still on the fence about it. Anyway the information for those who are interested

It might suit a tikka mag very well and a R.E.M. 7 as well

I'll stick with my trusty 6.5x.284, lovely shooter...

i think its shorter and fatter but looks cool. dont know if its a go too over the 6.5saum tho

It's probably the ruger compact magnum just necked down to 6.5 as hornady have always made rcm brass

@Gibo, it is the 6.8SPC, hunting caliber for "AR's"… Bumb!!! Not you Gibo, the people who designs it… why haven't start with the 6.5 caliber from the "beginning"???

6.8spc is based on a 30 Remington case, 6.5 prc is based on a ruger rcm case ( like a short magnum). 2 totally different class of parent cases.
