That's a nice looking bit of kit there @ChrisF. I like the feet. This may be a dumb question, as I don't know about Ruger PR's, does the over barrel mounting of bipod effect the view through yr scope?
Can that mount be flipped upside down, and mounted on the lower rail ?
looks like it could be, just seams a strange way to mount a bi pod, the way it is.
To be honest , I have not even looked thru the bloody scope yet , just got the thing , from what others overseas have said , is they donot see the bipod , will have a look later .
The bipod is a UK redesign of a German design made for 50 BMG rifles , so its sturdy , and being alloy its light weight .
Opps , they do two models , a tall one and a std one , the tall is what you see mounted on the RPR , and its for that application , ie quad rail top mount , ie RPR and AI AX rifles etc , the std one is shorter and mounts like a normal bipod , ie harris, Parker Hale etc on the bottom .
He does a number of mounting spigots options etc .
Go to his website .
Nice design, yes I could see how slinging the barrel below the mount could improve stability.
Opps , yeah just looked thru scope , cannot see the bipod or any shadow of it , at any power , 4-16x
I like it, looks the business mounted over the top.
Opps , and for those few that like their sh%t tight , if you look on the top you will see a allen head bolt , that goes thru the bottom to a spring loaded pad , and if you screw this up tight , this tightens up the pivot / swing etc
