    New Leupold Mk4 HD line

These could be high performing at a respectable price here (going by US retail prices some will be less than a VX5)

MK5's are amazing but expensive.. I can imagine the 2.5-10 going well for hunting here . 30mm tube as well

FFP and SFP both offered for the same mag levels with no price difference. Nice. Probably out of my price range

Identify your target beyond all doubt because you never miss (right?) and I'll be missed.

Thats a nice range of scopes, 2.5 - 10 is an excellent all rounder. Would love to try a 4.5 - 18 in Mil/SFP on a fun gun. Will wait until I see the price first tho.

Nice that they got rid of the Mil ret and Moa dials

Let's hope these have less Chinesium than the 'Mk3HD' (aka expensive VX Freedom) line.

The old Mk4 3.5-10x40 was a great lightweight dial scope if equipped with M2 or M3 turrets, but the glass is/was god awful...

Personally see Leupold falling behind a lot of the newer companies like Element (which I criticised for being a 'turn-key' company when they first emerged, but have since proven otherwise!) unless quality starts to match the prices they charge.

agreed, they have been a little behind the times.

from what I hear the quality of these is the same as the Mk5 which are very nice (I have had a couple) I have an older FFP mil/mil Mk4 and it is stellar

Leupold has been fairly slow to adapt to the market sometimes, but a lot of their newer stuff is solid (except the cheaper stuff. freedom, mk3hd line etc.)

Says "Designed, Machined, Assembled" in the USA.
That would give me a bit of confidence re optical quality. Hopefully get the chance to see some here...

The 2.5-10x42 looks pretty neat, not perfect IMO but probably a solid 7.5/10.
The reticle, no side focus and narrow FOV let it down IMO, but it looks like the best option in the low magnification FFP category currently on the market.

The price is pretty sharp on the 2.5-10x42 also, not sure the NXS 2.5-10x42 will be very popular anymore.

Time will tell if the adjustments are solid. Leupold don't have a good record there, so I'm watching but not especially excited yet.

Yes very light, only 21 Oz. Now to find a rifle that weighs 4lb.

    @Ross Nolan
It’s based off the mk5 erector system which has been extremely reliable on multiple scopes for me. I’d be surprised is there are any issues

Is the absence of an adjustable parallax on the 2.5 - 10 an issue?
I know my vx3i 10x could do with one at shooting beyond 400 ish yards
