    New Leupold VX-6 HD

These come with Alumina covers, a power throw lever, and an internal electronic scope levelling system

    From leupolds website.....

The VX-6HD is taking optical performance to a whole new level. We gave it a High-Definition optical system for sharpened clarity, and the Twilight MaxTM Light Management System for even greater low-light performance, giving hunters a visible advantage at dawn and dusk when the biggest game is on the move. The new CDS-ZL2 (Custom Dial System ZeroLock 2) elevation and ZeroLock windage dial lock in place so they cannot be inadvertently rotated o their zero. A mere press of a button will allow the user to dial up two turns of elevation, if necessary. On the 2nd revolution of the elevation dial, the button sinks in to show you are on the 2nd turn so you can dial for extended ranges and never lose your place. All VX-6HD CDS-ZL2 riflescopes include one free Custom Ballistic Dial with purchase. To make scope mounting even easier, we added an in-scope Electronic Reticle Level indicator for precise leveling, and a throw lever for fast magnification changes, right or left handed. All VX-6HD scopes include illuminated reticles with an easy to use 1 button intensity adjustment.

    And from another site.......

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold & Stevens, Inc., introduces the world’s best hunting riflescope, the new VX®-6HD. It delivers even greater performance to hunters and shooters who demand the best optics in the world.
Featuring Leupold’s exclusive Twilight Max® Light Management System, the VX-6HD delivers high-definition optical performance with the hard-use, rugged reliability only found from Leupold® optics.
“The VX-6 is an incredible riflescope, but we never stop looking for ways to improve,” said Tim Lesser, vice president of product development for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “We’re relentless in our quest for performance, and the new VX-6HD has reset the standard for premium optics.”
All models of the VX-6HD offer illumination, and include a new electronic reticle-leveling feature. When the scope is canted by more than a single degree, the reticle will flash, alerting the shooter that it is not level. Once squared up, the reticle stops flashing and the user knows their scope is level and a precise shot can be made.
Leupold has designed a new hydrophobic lens coating called Guard*-iON™, which repels water, dirt, and fingerprints, leaving the glass crystal clear in even the harshest of environments.
A new locking Custom Dial System® elevation adjustment, the CDS-ZL2, provides two complete revolutions, allowing hunters and shooters to extend their accuracy even further. Calibrated to the specific ballistics of a particular rifle and load, these are the most precise adjustments available on the market today. A turn indicator eliminates confusion and ensures the marksman knows precisely where the scope adjustment sits. In addition, Leupold is also adding ZeroLock® adjustments for the windage dial.
Included with the VX-6HD are Alumina® Flip-Back Lens Covers and a removable throw lever, that simply clamps onto the power selector ring allowing for fast, eyes-free adjustments.
The VX-6HD will be available in magnification ranges of 1-6x24mm, 2-12x42mm, 3-18x44mm, 3-18x50mm and 4-24x52mm. The 6:1 erector system delivers an outstanding field-of-view at lower settings, while still capable of extreme high-magnification. A true one-scope option for any hunting or shooting need.
A wide variety of illuminate reticles are available:
    - Illuminated CM-R2
    - FireDot Circle
    - FireDot-G BDC
    - FireDot Bullet-Drop
    - Impact-23 MOA
    - Impact-29 MOA
    - Impact-45 MOA
    - Varmint Hunter

Worth a look when they get here !

Looks good. I love it thou when they state that the scope comes with a free CDS, esp with the VX3I models. The fact is they dont come with a FREE cds, the price is built into the cost of the scope. if you want to buy one without the CDS you can get it 100 dollars cheaper. If you want a CDS you paid a extra 100 dollars etc and you get a scope stating that you getting a FREE cds, load of crap lol as you just paid extra for the cds!
    Thats marketing for you thou.

I think you wI'll find that yes you paid an extra $100 or so for a cds equipped scope, but you get a voucher for a free custom dial, you don't get diddly squat free with a scope that doesn't come factory equipped with cds

Agreed, what the hell were they thinking, all they needed to do was offer a VX3 with M1 turrets and a zero stop.
Probably would've been hell of a lot cheaper, and been what people actually wanted!

Be nice if they also added a a FFP VX6 for the most bestest hunting/target/light tactical scope.

I don't see whats so exciting about this new VX6 other than the old model might now be cheaper.
That 2 revolution turret was available before this scope, don't need some fandangled self leveling system and they'll probably start put new coating on all of their scopes anyway.
