    New Leupold VX5HD

    https://www.ammoland.com/2017/03/leu...eliant-hunter/

Seems a bit odd that Leupold has come out with this scope.
As the VX5HD 2-10x42 is half the price of the VX6HD 2-12x42, it would seem that they are trying to steal their own customers.

Looks like a nice scope though, and is always nice to have more options in an affordable price bracket.

3-15 would be nice but a 56mm objective? I had a 50 and found that too bulky and heavy.

Probably following along the lines of Swaro with the Z3, Z5 & Z6. Remember the VX-3 (now VX-3i) has been updated and now a new model x5HD and revamped x6HD. I like the idea of 3-15x44 for an all round scope.

Zeiss has just released a new V6 line too. 6x scope, 30mm tube, lockable turrets.
That would be another to keep an eye on.

The article left out the 3-15x44 model.
This new line of scopes doesn't even appear on the "new for 2017" section on Leupolds website.
They must be very very new.
