If you look at how much you actually shoot thru a 22lr , its maybe your most used rifle , so why not buy a nice one ( as potentially it maybe shoot more than anything else you own ).

I do however like most look for value for my dollars , at 6-800 new I look at CZ452s & at 1200 new maybe the new Ruger 77/22 ( a few yrs back Ruger changed the way they fix the barrel into the 77/22 , and went to a screwed in barrel , rather than the previous slip in type similar to the 10/22 ) so in theory they should be more accurate than before , 1200 plus a new ( 64 ) or 2nd hand Annie ( 54 ) .

A nice accurate 22lr rifle is a real pleasure .

P.S. At this stage the Aussie rifle is a unknown quanity.

Don't disagree but for some if us its a tool to bump and batter on a quad bike or tractor. And a jw15 @ 1/4 of the price is just an accurate tool in the box. But for the money, the cz is as good a gun and half the price as the Lithgow. They would have been better releasing it in HMR first.

At that price I'd be more tempted by a T-bolt I think

Yep I choose to drive a 89 hilux for work but thats mainly because I would cry if I had a 50k jobby as I just slid into a gate and dinged another panel.
I am starting to enjoy the nicer finished quality rifles but have a prerequisite that they have to be accurate as well!
They certainly looks to be built for rough and tumble which it will be getting
Of to the range today so will check out kgs ovservation as well

How much do they retail for in Oz?
Can you please tell us how many screws hold the action down onto the stock and were are they placed?
I have never really liked the way the cz screws were set up.
At that price they d better be as accurate as an anschutz or a sako quad.

Had a look at one in Serious Shooters yesterday. The action feels great but the stock.......WTF were they thinking?

1/2 a dozen people have been shooting it three position and all relly like it so that to me is pretty important.
I like it for comfort and weight except its like every other rifle I own it's not very accurate in the standind off hand position!

Pretty happy with the accuracy .
Holding moa with minimag and did a nice small 5 shot with some rws match into 1/2" at 50.
I got aome more match ammo to try but forgot to take it.
Seems to feed better as the day went on and nice and smoth now

I think you might need to put a heap of rounds through a 22 to get it "sorted"

My K22 Kimber was just starting to really come right after 1000-1500 rounds, shooting several sub 1/4" 5 shot groups at 50 before I sold it to get the M107-A1......never should have sold it.....

Ive heard they are an exceptional 22 rifle.I guess like @Rushy said to me......its like a fat chick, if it makes you feel good then who cares.......just as bad as those stupid and pointless patterns on a tikka

Hi guys, $995- here in oz. My LGS got 32 in which were then recalled, no explanation given by the LGS. Currently out of stock here. The stock is certainly butt ugly and from what I can understand is designed to be used in different disciplines of shooting eg silhouette, target as well as hunting. Hence the moniker 'crossover'. No plan to bring out a wood stock version unfortunately.

Cheapest CZ here start at around $700- up to $1350- depending on model and wood (beech or walnut). Annies start at around $1300- and Sako Quads $1400 for the synthetic version.

I'm not sure I'd buy one.
It wouldn't be the price that turned me off, but that they are new and so far unproven.

As well as can get a new CZ cheaper or a Weirauch for roughly the same, and they will both be much sexier rifles.
But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Actually if I were to spend around a grand, I'd go for a Full Stock CZ or a Varmint CZ and look at a Boyds Tacticool stock for it.
