New long range rig almost done

So have been slowly setting up a new long range rig my 24 inch Carbine trapdoor just wasn’t up to the job
So about 3 months ago I picked up a 2nd hand 30inch barrel Pedersoli rolling block 45/70
( i geuss by now you have realised we aren’t talking about these new fangled things with night force scopes)
Yesterday I got a massive part of the puzzle the sights
Pedersoli USA 405 and fitted it with an adjustable hadley eye peice
Which allows you to adjust the Aperture hole size handy in changeable light
This sight should have enough elevation Adjustment to send the 45-70 to 1000 yards
Not that ill be shooting quite that far

Just need to get it installed as it requires another hole in the tang
And a bubble level fitted cant is a major issue with these sights/ rifles
    Then its load development time

That sight is worth as much as a good hunting scope
450 rrp for the sight and another 120 for the upgraded eye peice
    I didn’t pay that though
Still have over 400 in the sights alone though so I better be able to hit stuff @northdude

Very cool mate, ringing steel old school style. Nothing like the sound of a 405gr slug smacking the target.

I'm not sure I would care if I hit the target or not whther it was 100m or 1000m. Just to be able to hold and shoot one of these gorgeous pieces of kit would be enough. That is a rifle of beauty.....
