May or May Not ever hit civilian market
Yeap ,
I think I would like the option of having a exposed windage knob , same as the e knob on this CSASS scope .
S&B has had similar spec for a long time , ie the 4-16x42mm PMII , again aimed at a US spec .
But the American Steiner scopes are hard to beat , on features & price , just a shame , that by the time they get to us in NZ , via Beretta , the price will be thru the roof .
Also , look for the new Kahles K312i , its has the windage on the LH side , and para on top ( ie like the K426 ) , and ONLY the illum on the RH side , on the theory , that most users will be RH , and firing from a supported posn , ie off a bipod etc , means the shooters master hand can stay on the rifle all the time , and ONLy the LH used to dial e/w & para , as all these are now either on the LH side or top .
just like the Russian copy of German Zeiss ( WWII , PE/PEM scopes ) , or the Brit Number 32 scope ( the reason for the brit , was it was made as a LMG scope , Bren gun , and as such was to be mounted on the LH side of the LMG ) .
