Hey guys I’m trying to bring a new scope from optics planet in, out of the states.
Does anywhere know of ways to get it here???. They keep saying it’s prohibited to leave the county.

Optics Planet r total shit heads. They should tell u before u buy that export is a no go.
Went thru this drama with them a few years back, would not even send to a mate in US with a US delivery address.

Oh and john Key / National already suggested a flat $20 collected per item shipped in so the "taxinda" comment is a bit of a joke mate.

I understand the $400 threshold well enough.

If you bring it in your suitcase you will be ok. I have brought back heaps of stuff and never been charged gst at the airport.

Cheers guys it’s a Zeiss Terra model should scrape in just under the gst threshold, but hey even if I’m taxed it’s still cheaper then here huh?. We get tucked over here so bad.

Don’t buy a Zeiss terra - plenty of better choices in that price range!
