It didn't make much sense to me when the 3-20 exists.
Fuck that is a big scope! Or that guys has tiny hands...
Sounds nice , be interesting to see how the 40 Mils in one rev works out , if its 0.1mrad clicks , thats 400 clicks in one turn .
Lost me on the MTC & LT functions .
I have used MTC before , and its not some thing I want in a scope .

I think it just looks big because it is so short. Have you ever looked at the size of a PMII 5-25? Its 85mm shorter than the 3-20 and 116mm shorter than the 5-25.
Here it is on a rifle:
Attachment 10696
Attachment 10697
3-20x50 Ultra Short
Attachment 10698
3-20x50
Attachment 10699
5-25x56
remember the tube size on all three is 34mm
Houston I have a problem.....
When I check it out on the S&B web site it doesn't appear to have 40mil elevation...
5-20x50 PM II Ultra Short
It says 56 moa which is a very long way of 40mil or is it 14mil.......
She does say 40 thou...accent....language isues ???
Crap! thats a cluster........
i happen to be fluent in German and am familiar with the north German dialect, she definitely said " mrad",cheers
What an investment!!!!
The specs say different....
Schmidt & Bender PM II 5-20x50 ULTRA SHORT
5-20x50 PM II Ultra Short
Looks like 17 milrad.....
The turret on the picture kokako posted at least goes to 16 if it is correct, with room Id guess to go at least to 17 if not more.
Looks nice , what reticle did you go with ? & has it got MTC ?

I just spotted this on their site today too.
It's a very short scope so will look chunky being 34 / 50mm. It's a competitor to the Leupold MK6 but much tidier. Interesting the zoom range is only 4x which must be the compromise for shortness. They have a 3-20x and 3-27x but they're a lot longer. To me, the 5x lower end is not low enough for general use in NZ but could be nice for varmints. It's intended for use with nv. Note although its short it is heavier than say the 3-12x50. The web site does say elev 170cm @ 100m so perhaps it was a slip o the tongue. In other videos this woman is introduced as their engineering head of research so perhaps not a professional presenter. She speaks very quickly ... Also, S&B have more than one turn of rotation available internally because you can rotate the cap after zeroing then lock it and after that are limited to however many mRad are on the dial for single or double or 5 turns depending on the model. So 40 might be what the engineers put inside but only 17 available to the shooter without loosening the locking screws. The compact turrets are a very good idea.
17 milrad is a fucking heap anyway so
They've increased the diameter / circumference of the turrets so the graduations will be pretty much the same spacing as on your 3-12.
It sure is short. SnB have it as being less than 30mm long on their site.
Anyone have an idea on price and when they will be available?
