    Which new rifle

    So, I've come to the conclusion that if I want better accuracy than what I've got I either rebarrel an existing rifle or get a new one.

    Question is if I was going to purchase a new rifle, what should I get?

    Just to clarify, I'm interested in the make and model of rifle only. Not the cartridge.

    My list of requirements are;
    Out of the box accuracy,
    Comfortable and nice to the touch stock (preferably wood but definitely not black)
    I don't want a shiny stainless barrel.
    I would prefer not to have a detachable magazine.
    If I do have a detachable mag I want to be able to top load.
    Fit and finish is important to me.

    Yep old but a goody.
    Always interesting how others love spending your money.
    My take is the same as above post, nice old model rifle which is a proven classic, brno, bsa hunter, older model 70. That sort of thing.
    Ps, I've owed one tikka and I thought it was a pos.
    I have two zkw 465 and they are a pleasure to hold and look at.

    Sako, if you dont want to spend that then Tikka, and if you dont want to spend that then Howa. And if you still dont want to spend that then a used Howa or Win mod 70 Featherweight. They are all available in blued and wood
    If you can't kill it with bullets, dont f*ck with it.
