    New rifle?

I've got a mate buying his first rifle. Calibre is decided I think and he is almost settled on a Remington 700. As it fits him well compared to others he has tried. But he is wondering whether to get the Adl or Bdl model. He thinks the bdl will cost him 200 more.
Do you Remington people out there think it if worth it? I have no idea as I haven't owned either.
The rifle is going to be THE hunting rifle.
    Thoughts appreciated

The bdl has a hinged floor plate. I havent owned an adl but having the floor plate certainly helps when unloading.

    Thanks Drunkfish.

I think he is going with the bdl, just for the ease of unloading

I converted all mine to ADL as it saved a tiny bit of weight. I know its anal...but its the some of al parts and by doing little things like that i cut over 2lb off it.
