Thread: New rifle system, willl blow your mind!

Just chatted to some guys at a show here in Dallas that have a new digital scope 35x built in GPS, range finder, weather sensors etc come on AI platforms in 300 win mag and 338 Lapua. Has a heap of other features as well, will have proper release at SHOT show in 2 weeks at Vegas.
It's a game changer.
Trackingpoint. You can mark targets and get back onto them, auto adjusts for range, temp, angle etc. no mattef what the range crosshair/dot on the shoulder and squeeze.
There should be some in NZ in 2013 hopefully.

That'd take all the fun out of it!

Can't say that I'm a fan of the accent either but he does have access to some interesting hardware. And has a lot of spare time... and money, seemingly.

Its an interesting idea. I wonder about the practical side when things go wrong - just simple stuff like dead batteries. For the guy on foot i'd have thought there was some strength in having things separate. If a capacitor fries in your range finder, no matter - you've still got your non electronic crosshairs to help judge that / and your clicks marked down. With this thing its like - opps, broke it, guess there's no fun today.

Wonder how it figures out the wind doping? GPS would only help you so far - still it is pretty cool. Wonder if it has bluetooth? Come on! it better be able to upload some shit for me to post up on youtube! or a kill counter so i can keep score (of all the zombies i'm gonna head shoot from the hip with my eyes closed)

google (you tube) would pay as well, although didn't see any adds on it (could be my computer though)

The rifle looks does not look like a AI rifle , it looks like a Surgeon on a AX chassis .

And with that scope they state max range with this combo is 1200m ,

google adverts pay. think going rate is $2 per 1000 views on youtube.
