    New Sightron..yup, yup, yup.

    On its way.

    Sightron Riflescopes S-TAC Series S-TAC3-16x42

    621NZD landed, plus GST

I've looked at various 'scopes in this range and this seems to fit the bill at a reasonable cost. Didn't want another HD5. Wanted a NF 2.5-10 but too expensive.

Yes, made in Philipines. But so are Nikon and they are pretty good quality.
    Some good reviews coming out.

Yup - Just bought one for my 7RM when I couldn't swallow the price for a Leupold CDS model.
I love the fine MOA 3 Reticle and small dot and the 30mm tube.

Bought Locally in Auckland for $900

Will also let you know if there are any teething problems but man it just sat up there and said buy me !!
Is it true what they say about Sightron a Poor Mans Nightforce 'cos this hit the spot well and truely!!

How is it at last light compared to the Hd5 is the reticle etched? does the reticle hang in there as the light fades?

Agree 3-16 is just brilliant covers every condition for what I use the 7 RM for Bar extreme gong shoots but covers off the game side of things.

Replaces a 6-18 Vortex that was a bit too much at the bottom end for a hunting scope.

Admit I've been looking at one as well tahr,
probably this one though, proper clicks you see.
    Sightron Riflescopes S-TAC Series S-TAC2.5-17.5X56IRMH
Haven't yet read enough consumer reviews to be sure they work as advertised, though Sightron do have a reasonable nme
probably by the time i find out if they're good everyone will have as well and the price will have been jacked up.
