    New stock and barrel

I am thinking about upgrading my stock on my Tikka t3 lite 223 as the one it has is shit.
I was thinking about a Mcmillan, which is pricey but I keep hearing they are very good, and would love some advise of you experienced shooters out there.
There was also another brand which looked pretty sexy, again pretty pricey which I will leave the link here.
Basically I have no idea what to do, I like the look of the one below but the Mcmillan is pure quality, not sure about the one below.
Also where would the best place to buy the Mcmillan stocks from?

    https://tikkaperformance.com/tikka-p...armint%20stock

I know people must be thinking why spend $800 on a stock for a $1200 rifle. I would love to do a custom, but can't afford to, but I can afford to buy one piece at a time over a year or so.
So I will eventually buy a kreiger barrel, or tru flight, but further down the track.

    Would like your advise guys.

I would suggest do things the other way around, patch up the factory stock to do what you need better - and with the cash you save get the barrel earlier. That way if the barrel you get is thinner, fatter or a different taper or profile at the chamber and knox you won't look at the stock every time and have it niggle you...
What is more important as far as accuracy, the barrel, or the stock?
I would get a barrel first but I think the barrel is pretty good, Its the horrible cheap nasty stock that does my head in.
I have been inquiring about McMillan stocks, but it seems that my Lite barrel wont fit.

Where would you recommend to buy stocks and barrels?

Those T3 stocks are "shite" so when you get the new stock post it to us. My son got 3 in the weekend with one of those useless stocks in 223. Are we missing something or is it hate the Tikka Century. Shove a DPT on the end of the useless barrel as well.Get an extra baffle from Darren it makes it much quieter. Presumably you got the useless 8 twist so you could use a range of projectiles no other manufacturer provides as a standard option.Dont reload for it because the groups get tighter.

If you don't want to spend McMillan money bell and Carlson make a stock especially for the t3, full length bedding plate etc, any colour you want so long as it's one of their colours you want.

Not having a go at Tikka in general, they are fantastic rifles for the price.
But the stock is garbage, too light and plastic for me.
The barrel and action I am very happy with. I am getting consistent 0.6 inch at 100m and 1 inch at 200m.
So for a $1200 rifle can't complain, I am just don't like it, and I think by getting a heavier, better quality stock it will help my accuracy.
    That's my plan anyway.
Will probably get a top of the line stock and my groupings average will stay the same or get worse knowing my luck.
