Is that the in-the-grease one that was on trademe?
Edit: nope
I want a nice No4 or Jungle Carbine as a shooter.
Whats a minter go for?
I think somebody on Sport Shooter sold one in the grease for $900? Not to long ago. Good score love Enfields.
i was watchin that one aswell
I stole it for $600.
theres one just like that one but the stock is not quite as mint as that in our shop for 300.
Very nice
I like original Enfields.
I picked up a nice Irish contract just out of grease a little while back.
I am still looking for a bayonet for it to complete the package

Nostalgia CD
Agree with you, give me a K98 any day, but then again each to their own, P14s are great for building customs on, really strong action. I can't see what people see in AKs and ARs!
BECAUSE they are the reason you are able enjoy your freedom and do wot ever you want with out speaking german and saluting hitler. not only that there has been a whole shitload of deer taken in this nation of ours with the puss 303, cut down lee enfield. if you rip the guts out of one then mount it on the wall it looks pretty good tho. mind you only do it to one or your house will end up looking like an RSA.:P
Iv got two, with one I shot my first deer and goat and pig. Even way back then it was on its third barrel and it was stuffed.
My grandfather then my father shot untold deer with it for tails, skins and meat.
The action is that worn you can move the bolt forward and back 1-2mm.
Recently inherited a tidyish one from an uncle and scored a new in grease barrel for it.
When I get it up and going again its coming hunting till I get something with it:thumbsup:
Ok then. I have been told

Rito ill get on to it.
Why??
Because I can and I wanted to :D
Its mint, and that last 100 Mausers I've seen have been pieces of shit or semi shit and worth a fortune, hence why I have little interest in them
I like old guns that I can shoot, my oldest is 96 and was shot the w/e before I went to work
Have a few around early 1940s from all over the place and hope to get more now I have more storage room
Because they're cool.
Think it'll look better once a saw and rasp are taken to that stock. Hacksaw off a dose of the barrel and get rid of those open sights and you'll have something. I too can see the potential there Spanners. That much timber makes me want to light a fire.
Now, where is the "tongue in cheek" smiley. Certainly looks in amazing nick, and one of these days, ... would look good added to my humble collection of firearms.
on the bright side with the 303 if you know a few farmers they often have a bucket of ammo round for them and are happy to give it to you
I dont think I ever baught bullets for the one I use to have.
jeez I got mine for $30 you got ripped spanners. mine even had a real stylie cut down stock on it :D
those brass but pads are not pleasant to shoot with tho
There's a couple of 303's lurking in my safe as well :)

Excellent! :)
Need some more mags for that AUG? I have a HEAP - some new
Yeah the safes getting a bit full now. Out of the .303's the No4 MkI* gets maybe a 200 rounds through it a year at service rifle comps the others are mainly just for the collection although they get the odd outing now and again. The .22LR No. 9 (far right) allows cheap practice.
I also saw some 30 shot mags for an aug in the army shop in bulls as I was passing thru a couple of years back. they were $30 each.
but I didnt think anyone would pay the 8k they were going for at the time while ar15 were 3-4k
I brought the AUG-Z in myself a couple of years back so didn't pay even half (and that was including the cost of a munted SKS as a hand in) of what GC was wanting for one.
here you go

it works and barrel is around 40 to 50 %
Ummm...nothing like mine :x_x: its a rotten old No4 - completely different gun.....
Sweet as im not an expert on the old stuff.
hey shoota if u ever want to sell that armalite i would by it please. is it a colt 223? impressive selection of firearms.
Hey sakokid, not planning on selling it in the near future but there was one for sale recently. I'll check to see if he sold it or not. Yes its a Colt SP1 from the late 70's.
I got mine for free. I would like to save it from Bubba one day.
Ok whos got a never fails to shoot well 303 brt hunting load?
Highland ammo is cheap and shoots very good in our .303's. Works on the deer and goats also a few pigs. never had a problem with it.
Cheers Toby but i was after a hand load. Can't bring myself to buy factory ammo anymore.

One of the teachers at school reloaded for his .303 and he did tell me what he used but I cant remember sorry.
There's what looked like an A-cat Colt SP1 in Alan Millars in Dunedin, $2100 with a shitty carryhandle mounted scope. I didn't look too closely but it was a Colt lower, missing muzzle device, missing rear sight aperture maybe, all the SP1 furniture etc.
Used condition I guess. Didn't look too closely.
hey shooter when u do i will be here waiting to give it a nice new loving home;)
