New Weatherby 307
I doubt, unfortunately, we will get these here, but these new offerings from Weatherby look great!

I'm not sure the in's and out's of why we no longer get Weatherby rifles here, but with offerings from a bog standard Vanguard, all the way up to $10k= MK Vs, I feel like there is a substantial range that would cater to everyones's budget

Surely there will be a distributor able to bring them in. I'm guessing tho, with Tikka's having market share, companies are a bit hesitant to bring anything else in.
I agree with you that they have something to cater for everyone, and I would definitely be keen to have a fondle of one or two!

Doesn't look like anyone brings them into NZ. There is an Australian agent, but would cost too much for one rifle from OZ

I ran into this issue chasing parts for a customer
USA sent you to Australia
Australia couldn’t be bothered helping
Just told me that a shop in the nth island
Has the right to the agency but don’t think
They went further then getting a few rifles
In the mkv mine imported from what I got
From Aussie
Might have better luck with sales now that sako who was a main competitor
Price wise for a mkv is now right up there for the carbon models
And weatherby could maybe compete
There is a 307 in nz already had a look at it the other day
Self import by a air New Zealand pilot from Canada was a nice bit of kit to handle

That folding stock on the alpine hunting rifle could be a good idea, specialy with 26” barrels. (“28” including brake)
Two critical features will be:
Magazine length for the 300PRC etc
Feed quality with the big sharp shouldered cases (and only 2 lug bolt).
Detachable mag and top loadable like the Sako ?

I looked at the Weatherby light weight model but for the cost of getting one here you can go full custom
