    Nice 34mm rings for a T3

    I'm running a 4-24 VX6 on my 6mm 204 T3, Im using warne rings on a 20moa rail.

Here's the curly bit - I don't need a rail as I only shoot out to 400-500 yards with this rig & it looks so farken ugly on what is a bwety looking rifle, does anyone know of any nice 34mm rings that will go straight on a T3 or do I need to look at other ideas / options ?

There are some 34 mm rings optilock that can go on tikka optilock bases. That would be one solution.
Otherwise get the lowest seeking 34 mm rings and fit them on your picatinny rail and you should be able to bring that scope much lower .
You might need to trim the bit of rail hanging over the barrel shank to leave way for the objective angled part of the tube.
But you have a very large scope for a small light weight rifle...

Wow nice. Not great fan of that checkering style but sweet rig all the same.
I'm in the market at the moment for rings as well

Yeah not the best pics ( just took em off my phone )

Yeah your'e right Friwi, it's a bloody big scope ( she's not a light weight with that scope & its can on ) but then I use it for varminting & targets.

I didn't realise that they were now making 34 mm opitiloks, that would be the best option.

    Maybe get the rail cut?

That will tidy it up a little...

Phillipo, that rail really does look ugly.
Just bend over and enjoy it.

It looks as if tikka don't have one piece ringmounts in 34mm and you'll need to go to an optilok base plus ring system to get 34mm, like I did.

I'm guessing Tikka didn't really expect people to put a heavy duty scope on their T3 but they are behind the curve. There are a few 34mm scopes out there and tikka/sako need to cater to the more envelope pushing shooters.

Yep, the ratio of scopes going on tikkas might be as follow out of a 100:
    -60 1" scopes
    -35 30 mm scopes
-5 (or less) 34 mm scopes.
So that is the exact reason why the 34 mm optilocks are so expensive.
