About LinkBacksThe mount that PVS-14 is in is quick-detach - it twists into the twist-in aimpoint base.
Walk around with -14 head mounted on a skullcrusher or helmet for navigation, once you have found something to shoot, detach the -14 from helmet (it's also quick detach with USGI J-arm etc) and clip onto weapon, takes all of 5 seconds.
If you need to take a fast shot, have IR laser mounted on the gun as well so you can shoot using it to aim.
