Night Vision Scopes - Short Range Pest Control

School me on night vision scopes. Can’t afford thermal scope but the minister of war and finance has given the go ahead for a thermal monocular, so would use in conjunction with that.

Got a couple places local that require a few bunnies gotten rid of in a semi rural area.

Is anyone running any of the Arken models from Ken? The reviews online look pretty good and the maximum range is probably only 50 - 80 yards.

    Keen to hear some feedback.

At those ranges any number of NV scopes will do the job. I have a Hikmicro Alpex A50T on my Win. 223 for mainly night shooting. It's good for 330m on deer at night and shot plenty of hares and rabbits out to 160m okay. It's a bit heavy and stuff's the rifle balance a bit but very effective, cost about $1600 though. Check @Tahr's comments in 223 on deer thread regarding Arken scope.

The Arken are a generation on from the Pard 0800s.
For $1,200 they are exceptional value. Ideal for what you are talking about. Compact and light.
This is 195 yards on 17 power. About 8pm. With the IR at night Ive shot deer at 250 yds and could at 300. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSr8yArHaFk
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing, and right-doing, there is a field. I will meet you there.

If you are doing stuff under 100 yards then the PARD007 models will suit, the older model (V I think) works better as it is 1x base mag. Make sure you have an adjustable objective or side focus scope.

I'll happily ping rabbits out to 100m with the pard 800s.

Biggest thing I'd say is either your monocle or your scope must have a range finder.
