Has anyone gone through with a reticle swap in a Nightforce?
Was it worth the price/wait or better to buy a whole new scope?
I've got an NXS with the worst mil-dot option, rather than sell it thought sending it off for a swap would be easier.

I asked Nightforce Australia about reticle swaps a few years ago and they said they didn't do the swaps anymore.
Regardless chances are you are probably better off to just sell what you have and buy the reticle you like.

Cricky dick, I never thought I'd hear Andy say those words
It's such a shame that one of the best scope manufactures in the world has such a shit NZ distributor, the prices have gone through the roof & then HRE shit's all over their biggest NF seller & fan boy in the country.
Like Beetroot pointed to, has anyone actually ever had a scope confiscated or was it just scaremongering bullshit ?
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Gidday
This is an email sent to some one about importing a scope from aussie if your bring it back in your self.
We’ve checked with our firearms cell, and you will need a Department of Defence permit for those scopes.
*
In order to obtain a DoD permit you need to register as an exporter in our Integrated Cargo System. This will give you a Customs Client ID (CCID).
*
The Department of Defence can be contacted Here:
*
Email: exportcontrols@defence.gov.au
Website: www1.defence.gov.au/business-industry/export/controls/
*
First step will be to complete the attached form and to email to us together with 100 points of ID (normally a passport and D/L).
*
Once you have that contact the Department of Defence.
*
Once you have your DoD permit please email us and we can organise your Export Declaration.
*

Kind Regards,

Looks to be a pain going to Aus, but still possible and better than dealing local. And with all that fuss it would be silly not to upgrade to an ATACR for the same price as an NZ NXS...
