    Nightforce scopes

I've just been having a poke about for prices, Not in the market but you know, keeping track of what assets are worth.
Have I missed something or am I just a bit behind. NZ prices for these seem to have skyrocketed, Compact NXS for 4.3-4.7K depending on shop and Shv F1 up over 3k?

Has this been the Norm for awhile?

Supply and demand. The demand is higher than the supply and that's for most things at the moment.

Nightforce USA has been putting the price up consistently for a few years now, so it could be related to that.

The NXS was a great scope 10 years ago, paying $4000+ now is not good value at all. Hell you could probably get an NX8 for less money than some of the NXS prices.

Yep nx8's are cheaper and better glass and lighter than the nxs.
Nz has another tier in the selling chain than aussie that's the price diference

Yeah I've been after a 1-8 Atacr or even maybe a 1-8 NX8 second hand.

Pretty much almost given up - all the ones I have seen they are wanting close to new price. Just the way it is, NF set the supplier pricing and Dan Hardy sets the local pricing , just supply and demand on a scope that a lot of people want.

    No kidding!
The ATACR pricing at Hardys is crazy. Basically same money as Tangent Theta or ZCO, I know what I'd be buying.

No idea how much the 1-8 NX8 or ATACRs are but based on what everything else NF is I'd be looking at a Vortex Razor G3 1-10, probably even look at a SB 1-8 Shortdot.

I guess pricing is always a distributors perogative.
We can choose to buy or not too buy.
From personal experience (I work for a distributor) generally distributors are left to sort issues direct with customer when the retailer runs away.

Very true but based on what I've seen on target ranges, NF's market share has really shrunk in recent years. The price seems to be influencing demand.
