    Nightforce SHVs

Do the capped models of these "dial" as well as the more sophisticated ones with target turrets?

    Thanks

I've had a 5-20x56 (exposed turret) and a 3-10x42 (capped) both dialed well but very disappointing glass for the money. I know they are the "budget level" nightforce but still cost a decent amount of money and compared to other scopes in their price bracket don't seem on par at all

They dial very well, same glass as the NXS I'm told, just the internal assembly is slightly different. Trade offs with most things, definitely better glass out there at the same price point but still pretty good imo. I personally will sacrifice glass quality (within reason) for something I know will be repeatable and durable.

If you're not concerned about seeing game at very last light and also don't care about saving the last ounce in weight, they are a very solid scope. As said, there are better options if those two variables matter to you.
