As long as you keep your expectations in line with the price your paying I think you'd be happy with it plus if its new it will have a warranty, if you need it. I've only ever had one scope need a warranty claim and it was painless and not a ns....

Yeah sounds like you’re right there. I’m not expecting too much as I’m still paying for a budget scope. I’ll be glad if it’s anything better than the one I’ve got. I will be buying new, guess it’s good to have that warranty just in case

    Interesting discussion.

The scope in question is entirely suitable for a .22 rifle , budget-wise and in use.

A $2000 dollar scope on the same rifle will not be ten times better than the Nikko-Stirling , but will be a huge over-capitilisation and a waste of your hard-earned cash.

Best price I found was "Hunting and Outdoor supplies" , NZ based company. $290.00
Let us know how it works out once you have used it. Good luck.

Thanks. I see Delta Mike based in Invercargill has them for $269 at the moment. I will purchase it soon and then hopefully get it on in the next month or so and report back in this thread!

at $269 if something happened to it out of warranty you wouldn't be to upset about it even if you got a couple or more years out of it...

Arced - the Panamax sounds good but I wouldn't rule out the other Nikkos for your field 22.

Alot of sound efficient little rimfire models there starting with the mountmasters - then on to Airking as noted. Have had heaps of them come thru the closet and they will all do this job reliably and well. Have a chat with @timattalon above, then go to a shop and look through a few. Lots of good options - Panamax is one of..
