    I mean, I have an old Wilhelm 4x32 on my .270 if that helps? Admittedly a few years ago now, but last time I used it, I was able to put a good hole in a hare at 140m...

    Chuck it on and have a play with it! Anything you can't see in. 4x will likely be out of effective range of a .22.
