    Find this funny. I always used to use 4x scopes on .22s. I've since switched to 2-7x variable scopes, mostly for the less magnification in the lower end for up close possums etc. So 4x magnification is plenty.
    2-7x is almost perfect but 4x is entirely adequate for .22lrs in my opinion.
