I just read on a Sako forum I am a member of that Sako has announced they will no longer be manufacturing optilocks and optilock accessories in stainless. Get out there and buy them all up now if you want new ones!

^Indeed, It is a very strange decision. Luckily we in NZ did not agree with it and pushed to have them made specially for the NZ market. :)
What sizes have Berretta ordered them in ? And what price can we expect?
Very odd move....it is not like the market is flooded with aftermarket options for Sako rings either.
Would certainly put me off buying say a new carbon light if the salesman could only offer rusty blued rings to mount a scope on it.

Would hate to guess the price if special order.
This could work in our favour, sell em for heaps on eBay to Americans
Not owning a single sako and though there is the slimiest chance I might one day it would be walnut and blued

Yeap the plastic liners are awesome, no marks on your expensive scopes, they fit Sakos and they just look right on a Sako too
Optilocks are great mounts. Be awesome if they made a lower version to get the likes of a 2.5-8x36 Leupold down near the barrel. Ended up using Leupold sako rings to get lower. For bigger objective lenses the optilocks are hard to beat.
So they wont fit my savage then?
