Hi all,
Looking at getting a Stug or Senator carbon fibre stock but would like to know from you guys out there that have or used one if they make that hollow noise when hunting in tight scub like the sh*t tikka plastic ones? This stock is for a bushpig rifle.
I stuffed up 3 stalks the other day with sticks and scub hitting the stock and spooking the deer :pissed off:. The best stocks I have had for no noise was the HS Precision stocks on my old Rem 700 LTR's, the con was they were heavy.
Stop waving it round like a paddle?
Low density expanding foam has worked for me inside carbon bike frames, would expect it would work just as well inside a stock

Not an issue, it's hard work in tight stuff anyway....

Have a senator i use in the kaimais doesnt get more bush bashy than that,no worse than my plastic stock ,filled with some high density stuff ,they all good, i make more noise than my stock will!!
Got a Senator and way better than the shit plastic ones.
In answer to your question I would say they are the same noise wise if you bang them against stuff.
Buy a McMillan they aren't hollow
if you're bush hunting and concerned about noise have a look at Hogue stocks - they're nothing fancy but the rubberised coating is real quiet and grippy.
The only time my carbon one bothers me is if I have a sling on and the clips or buckles hit on it.

As far as i am aware, all the CF stocks being made in NZ are filled with some sort of expanding foam type product.Quote:
