    Norinco 223??

After long shooting career am well aware price with rifles is often a measure of quality, but not necessarily of accuracy - both in rimfire and centrefire. Polished up couple of dozen Norinco JW15s for people and if you avoid those offered by one prominent retail chain, and the Polytech branded rifles, they can be very accurate and effective little hunters. But what of these Norinco 223s? I don't know them. Has anyone bought and done the necessary QC to one of these? Good barrels? Actions ok? Can they be scrubbed up to be a good shooter?

Might be in the market for a longer range varminter and you can certainly pick up sharp shooting little 223s from Marlin, Savage etc for not much coin. But polishing up a Norinco in 223 also a possible project - if they are worth the trouble..

    Comments appreciated..

mate got one bedded and the trigger tweaked...it was a heavy wee beasty but shot like a dream...very accurate and no issues. happy as with my bisley model x39mm sure its agricultural and been finished with hand and foot.....BUT its never let me down function wise, its no tack driver but doesnt need to be as its a BHSR does the job very nicely.

I had one with a chrome lined bore (so they said), anyway when I got the trigger down to under 4 lbs the safety wouldn't work but by crickey it could shoot and that was federal factory ammo in the end the agricultural aspects of the rifle put me off.

I believe they have a 4 way adjustable trigger, you might want to look into it. My 7.62x39 bushranger has the best trigger out of all my rifles, by far
