Or whatever. Do they take standard AK furniture and mags? My google-fu is weak today.

I believe they are just a castrated 56S, so yes
Sweet. Anyone got one? Comparisons to Saiga?
I want an AK but I'm a bit cautious of having to convert a Saiga for it to not be stupid.
I don't have one myself but have handled a few 56S's. The finish is better on the Norcs. They also have thicker barrels and receivers. I can't speak from my own experiences but the Saiga's seem to be the more accurate gun. Plus I love the AK74 cosmetics. My Saiga shot anything from 4-7MOA with the only ammo I fed it, but it was one of the puke models with an abortion of a trigger. You will be pleasantly surprised how good the norc and tapco triggers are, much better than some generic AR triggers.
Know of anywhere in Nz or export friendly that sells the ACE AKFX stocks? And synthetic handguards. And a decent grip.
....Spanners??
Should be able to get the grip and handguard on Brownells. Should be able to get the AKFX as well, just need a fixed reciever block rather than a folder mechanism. Unless the US has some fucked export restriction on AK parts I don't know about?
Dunno about the furniture - my order has shipped yesterday, and the other parts order is all sorted and getting US paperwork done.
Could sort something in next one fir you Gimp
You really want plastic on a AK??
I'm plastic all the way, dont get me wrong - but my 56S with wood, gives me wood
So much that I will buy another.. would like some nice Romanian timber on it
I've had my AK hot enough that I think a plastic handguard would have gone all gooie
AKFX stock is over $100 from Brownells. Probably do have export restrictions. Hate doing export paperwork.
I doubt the head shields would have done shit - the end cap on the guard burnt my hand and instantly blistered it - was still warm 2 hrs later
Maybe I'll just rattlecan the factory wood handguards, then.
