Managed to have a quick prowl around a few gun stores in Invers yesterday (and yes, was with the wife) and spied these two absolute bargains. Couldn’t really go wrong with either one of them.

WOW !
New generation of ruger Americans about to hit the self's so could be some bargains to be had.
These older generation rugers are excellent for the money. A little agricultural but do the job well.
But which one...
never mind, I dont have the money to drop on a new rifle
I went and had a look, Brad (who must be just about the longest serving, best natured and knowledgeable hunting and fishing guy in NZ) tried hard to make a sale but I escaped with my wallet intact!
They might be new cartridges but the old 303 can push a 150 grainer at 2700ish so why would you go there. That’s just my thoughts

At those prices they won't fail to find buyers. Even in this economy ....

Because the vast majority of 303s aren't as accurate as these are once you get out a bit.
Bush shooting out to 200 for most of them
And only one relatively heavy rifle type with limited ammo to pick from. If you have a good one fair enough but I reckon there are better options. Plus have you seen the price people are asking for an old potentially crap 303 is nowadays?
For only a couple of hundred more you can have a new one.
I wouldn't have either of the calibres but that's just me
