I will tell a story of today’s happening with my (approaching 80 year old) neighbour.

He was in process of renewing the “farce” of a system Firearms Licence.
Had been through all the paper work via local cop shop etc.
Told me a few months ago that he had his renewal – BUT – they still needed to check his firearms security (he is not Cat E – just your basic ex Cocky with a Deer and Possum rifle)

So – f~~k me dead if I not a lion – today the Police boat from Wellington “Lady Elizabeth IV” pulls up outside our place and a naiad rolls out its arse end with a Yamaha 60 and 2 guys come ashore and go and inspect his gun cabinet.
Then back to mother ship (who has TWO 1028hp diesel engines) and enters arse end via sophisticated system we can only dream of for boat – launch – retrieve – they head on out of Pelorus Sound.

Neighbour asked fuel usage – Cops said between 300 & 400 Lts per hour.

So I say to ex Cocky neighbour – “got some of your Tax back with that fiasco”
