Taihape sports for leupold.
@gonetropo change your name to thefixer .....:yaeh am not durnk:
@gonetropo Haven't confirmed what I want yet, but at least two scopes (one for the 10/22 and one for the 7.62) are needed..
i have a 1X leupold prismatic ($400) and a 4X32 shorty for sale ($80)
ScopeUout has some good deals.
$4172 isn't "cheap" for an 8-32 NSX Nightforce
Reloaders normally sees me okay.
55six media have some amazing deals on leupy and sig sauer
Broncos Outdoors in Tauranga has been pretty good! Especially for Vortex products :)
Wills Outfitters in Auckland has these beautiful Kite Optics scopes from Europe that are f&?@ing amazing. Phone him 09 444 0023. Might be a bit much for a. 22 but great for the 7.62
Have also purchased vortex from Broncos
Have purchased from Taihape sports , Broncos, and have seen the boxes of well priced Leupold and Sig scopes at 55Six. Would happily support any of these guys again.
i just got a Athlon Midas tac 4-16 for my 22 think i will get a 6-24 for the 223 as well.
Always worth a stop at Taihape sports.

The best shop in Auckland to buy scopes and anything gun related is Reloader supplies in Onehunga. Mike there is really helpful. They will give you the best price. Bushnell have drastically reduced the price on some of their optics. The price at another gun shop. After telling me the retail was $400. Said we could bring it in for $300. Mike at Reloaders gave me a price on the exact scope $140. Less than half the price of the other shop. Excuse the pun, but the guys at Reloaders are straight shooters. Through and through.
Was last month i called in......

Was a good bugger always found him good to deal with, I guess the nice old black lab that used to greet you in the door way is no longer with him
Are Swarovski really worth the money? If so, who is best for handling them?
There are diminishing returns with everything. You certainly don't need swaro glass, but if the best is what you want, you'll have to cough up the dough. I don't think anybody's regretted Swaro glass (Or Leica, Zeiss, Kahles, S&B etc). :)
I've always bought Swaro stuff through Hunting and Fishing Tower Junction (Christchurch). I've found that every H&F store isn't the same, and it pays to do business with a person rather than the chain itself, if that makes sense? I've been served by the same guy for several years, and he's super reliable and always gets things sorted at the drop of a hat.
On the contrary, I've dealt with some H&F stores which I'll never set foot in again (i.e the majority).
Our very own @Sarvo is bloody brilliant if you're after Leica Optics. He also does a range of other brands. Hands down the most reliable trader I've ever dealt with and a good bastard. :)
Flick him a PM.
There's a Nikon P-Rimfire on trademe closing in 15 hrs. I've got one a a 10/22, good scope for the rifle. Reasonable value if it doesn't go much higher. They were around $320 new
Which scope are you looking for?
I used Rivers to Ranges in Hastings to buy my Leupold VX5HD and was happy with their price (cheaper than GC) and I absolutely refuse to spend $$ with humping and fisting.
Rivers to Ranges have a great range of product. H&F Napier in contrast is shit along with their staff.
