    NZ Suppressors

as i am getting frustrating trying to import a European suppressor, I have decided to buy a NZ made.
can you guys reccomend me which one is the best NZ suppressor for a 5.56 16' AR 15?
i want the quietest, not really care about weight at least is a minimal difference in sound reduction so that way i'll go with the lightest.
at the moment I have in mind:
    MAE
    Oceania Defence

any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Ps; have to fit under a samson rail.

    cheers.
    Gus.

Waitaki Engineering or MAE. Both are fully stainless steel and will last longer than your gun

I have 2 MAE's and they are really well made. Gary McColl knows his stuff and he's been doing it for years. You don't get to sell NZ made suppressor sale around the world without having a good reputation for quality. Get him to fit it and ask him to do the trigger whilst he's at it. He's done all my triggers and what a difference it made to my shooting accuracy. Keep safe in the hills. Gunzrrr

The Oceania Defence ones get a very good review for use with AR's over on sportshooter, and their 556 Samson is designed specifically to work with a Samson rail. One related question is how are you intending to manage gas blowback? If you aren't running an adjustable gas block, the Oceania Defence one claims to have very little blowback due to chamber design.

Speaking from experience, blowback is a pain in the arse if you are running a carbine length system that is already fairly over-gassed as it is.

I don't know much about the MAE, but they are pretty heavy! (490gr for MAE LEM CMP vs 172 gr for ODL Samson)
