Just wondering if the OAL is taken with a collapsible stock fully extended or fully retracted, as the 3 firearms officers I've asked have given me different answers.

I'm 99% sure they've stated that they measure with the stock fully extended. I've got a folding stock ACR which is fully functional and well under 762mm when the stock is folded and it is legal.
I'm not 100% sure, but if it can be fired when collapsed & its under 762mm its a pistol .... ?
Ah that would make sense as Gunshitty has been selling Scars and ACRs under Ecat with folding stocks, I was just wondering if side folding was under some silly exception

fully extended, to the tip of the barrel,
muzzle devices don't count as added length
From memory the latest interpretation is that something on E cannot be on B, so the collapsed length doesn't matter as long as extended is over 762mm.
