@Lucky Beautiful, when l semi retire in a couple of years l am going to look for something similar or a Man-Licker as a retirement present & use it on a couple of Deer properties l have near the farm.
Currently have my old Mohawk l brought for my 21st in 82, waiting in line for a Old School Man-Licker style XX walnut restock & will be in the normal hunting line up.
@Lucky what would something like that be worth currently ??
Also if anyone has something along these lines sitting locked away in a safe & is interested in selling to someone who not only appreciates them unmolested ,but will use as intended let us know![]()

Pre war Mauser Sporter in a common Caliber would be $200 to maybe $800 unless its a African caliber someone might really want. Its a crying shame that few appreciate the history and quality of these old Rifles.

Mannlicher just seem to have fallen out of favour. If people have alot of money they tend to go for a Blaser with high grade wood.Newer Mannlicher even the delux models just sit for sale for sometimes years. If the Rifle is chambered in something not available " off the shelf" then its practically worthless unless some enthusiast buys it or it gets broken down for parts.
Its true that we are only allowed in Norway 8 hunting guns, that is undoubtably a factor in it.
