Thread: ODL suppressor

Hey. I'm going to have a new rifle built once all the gear gets here. It's going to be 7SAUM.
The barrel is a Proof @ 20" with a muzzle 0.858".
I've had a great run with DPT but am thinking something more exotic. The ODL ticks a lot of boxes for me especially being light. The length is fine. I was curious of first hand experience with the ratchet lock and if it's worth it on a hunting rifle. Also there looks to be an insertless option. The online info isn't great. Do I need an insert? How does the insert work? And really just why?
