Rifle back from threading. My Anschutz 1415/1416 22LR

Bolt de-cocks on closing the bolt, like the trigger is held down.

Trigger is on a very funny angle.......

Has he done what I think he's done?

I had a bit of trouble taking it to bits. I think the triggers been hit in the lathe.

That's pretty rough

A quick functions test when all reassembled would have shown this fault up. Not flash at all.

Will give a total free pass, depending upon the response. Everyone makes mistakes.

If the barrel was shortened the totally exposed trigger will be very close to the left hand end of the head stock
Might have been inside a guard or close to belts etc

Even turning it over by hand to change the gears would bend it from the fly wheel effect if it wasn't clear to turn

Sadly no. Pulled her apart again and it's just the trigger, and whatever it was pinned to.

Not your problem , I would think it would be there's. Not good at all.

Not my problem and I'm confident he will sort it.

Which does not change the fact these triggers are likely rare and start life as quite high end kit. A bent and subsequently straightened one is not the same thing as a clean original.

I have the same rifle and have obtained parts (not a trigger I have to say) from Tracy Dick at Dead Eye Dicks, I have had excellent service.

This model was supplied with a variety of triggers, all good, the more sophisticated ones are sublime. If you do indeed need a new trigger it would pay to do some homework on the various trigger options and you might like your Annie even more . . . .
