Thread: Old BSA or SAKO help

    Its a BSA, definitely worth spending some time and money on for the right person. Apart from the paint and the butt pad, that stock looks like the original lightweight stock. The "brake" on the muzzle is the original BESA brake. I would hazard a guess that given a good clean up and oil, that the action will be as slick as. Give it a good clean, try a few rounds and see what its capable of. If it dont shoot too good, the shortening the barrel to get rid of the brake usually see's them right. I had one once, had done a lot of work, probably as rough as the one pictured. After a tidy up, and a new barrel, the 4th new barrel, it shoots lights out. And the now owner loves it, says its one of the smoothest bolt's hes ever used.

    I agree with the bolt action, it is a beauty.
