Hey team, I’m about to start building the stock for my custom .358 Winchester. I always do up a full scale drawing before any cutting takes place, and because of the recoil of this beast I’m going to add a bit of volume to the forend shape.
I’ve always liked the old Remington 700 BDL (wood blued with ebony tip style) forend cross sectional shape, but don’t have access to one. If there’s anyone out there with one, would you mind measuring the stock width and depth at the point that the ebony tip joins the walnut? With verniers if you have them? And then the distance those measurements were taken from the from face of the action. Would be much appreciated!
