    All depends on how rusty. If you can give the heads a bit of a scuff up with a polly pad and the chamber and extract out of the shotgun, this is the main thing.
    Next I would place them for a few days in a warm environment say an airing cupboard to take any of the moisture out of them. Obviously with the crimp facing up.
    Then have a go.
    I shot some 32 year old stuff at magpies when home just now. Went off fine had tarnish marks on the brass. No rust on the primers. Went with a hiss and a roar…..think that magpie fair poooed himself into the next life
