Thread: Old Scope repairs

Does anyone repair old scopes? Is there any place in NZ who can reseal and gas an old Kahles?

It was always Andrew Rackstraw in Upper Hutt he had a great workshop at his house, Brian mentioned he had seen his house for sale and Andrew being 80+ I would say he's shut up shop.

If you are really keen like me and send your scope to the USA, don't send it to Iron Sight, Inc. I was unfortunate enough to send a rather nice old big Redfield for a clean and regass and reseal. Iron Sight said I needed a new front lens. The scope came back to NZ unrepaired after I had paid for the repair. I sent it back. It came back again with the same lenses. A really dodgy company.

Jesus. Thats what everyone is afraid of when they send stuff overseas
